New Lifeline
Nomadic Thoughts is the Head Office of the UK Register Charity New Lifeline (originally New Life Mexico).
As well as being instrumental in the setting up, managing and running of the charity since its inception in 2002, Nomadic Thoughts covers all UK administrative costs. We are extremely proud of our supportive role and are whole-heartedly committed to the future of New Lifeline’s work.
The charity supports Vulnerable People with Social, Health and Education Programmes in Latin America. Jono Vernon-Powell is a Founder Trustee. Nomadic Thoughts office is the charity’s registered address.
NEW LIFELINE
Supporting Vulnerable People with Social, Health and Education Programmes
As part of Nomadic Thoughts’ continued commitment to sustainable tourism, we take great care in researching which specific local projects we can become involved in. As a small independent tour operator we feel it essential that we source and support appropriate projects. Ultimately our overall wish is to continually stay directly involved with New Lifeline projects, guaranteeing that 100% of any financial contributions go directly to the relevant parties.
Many of our clients will be familiar with the fact that Philippa, who has been involved with Nomadic Thoughts since the beginning, took on the project of finding and setting up such an organisation.
Having supported New Life Mexico over the years, with many successes – including the setting up of a sustainable street kid center, many local community outreach programmes and social service support – we are extremely excited to be continuing with our sustainable tourism developments through New Lifeline (NLL)
New Lifeline is a natural progression from New Life Mexico which provided successful programmes for fourteen years in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. The success of this has resulted in the expansion of activities to other Latin America countries by providing consultancy services, funding and specialised training to charities in the region.
Nomadic Thoughts have been directly involved with New Life Mexico since its inception and continue to currently assist in the running of New Lifeline. Jono Vernon-Powell is a Director and Trustee of the charity.
We are therefore delighted to confirm that Nomadic Thoughts are committed to supporting NLL in the short, medium and long term – registered in England & Wales – Charity No. 1104138.
We feel this is a perfect match, as NLL aims to help sustainable development in Latin America through social, health and education programmes, thereby supporting vulnerable people through poverty relief and charitable projects throughout the region. Nomadic Thoughts currently support all NLL’s work – in particular with their projects in Mexico and Guatemala. Whilst programmes are managed by New Lifeline or Partner Charities, projects will be funded by New Lifeline, Individual Donors, Corporate Sponsorship & Partner Foundations.
